I don’t really think it’s fair that everyone is labeling him because of one interview and a silly grill.
My sister swims competitively here in Port Orange, where Ryan is from, and he has come in and mentored her team a couple times since she’s been on it. Plus, we know his family, as they live down the street and I’m friends with Brandon Lochte, his little brother. Of all the times both my sister and I have met and talked to him, he has been the farthest thing from a “douchebag” or an “idiot.” He was well read and kind and incredibly sweet. He’s a great guy, and we shouldn’t be judging him because of a couple things that are all in fun.
